Mental health peer worker training
People interested in becoming a mental health peer worker can take part in a course to see if the role is for them.
The Peer Worker course is designed for those with a lived experience with mental health, and a desire to help others.
Peer Worker course
The six-week course covers various topics, and will give you a good overview of a potential new career path.
We’ll show you just what being a support worker is about and discuss study options and pathways.
The course costs $50 and includes a workbook. The course starts on Friday 27th October. It runs 9.30am – 3.30pm, running for six consecutive weeks. The course ends on Friday 1st December.
If you would like to find out more about the course you can attend an information session. Our next Peer Worker information session is on Friday 13th October 2017 from 10am – 1.30pm.
Participants for the course are selected from the people who have attended the information session and completed the application form.
If you’d like to talk to someone or put your name down for the next course, please email Rebecca.Fitzpatrick@risenetwork.com.au or call 0447 855 693.
