Thank you for considering raising funds for Rise.
We greatly appreciate community support and the generosity of people like you who organise and take part in fundraising activities to help us help more people with our work. The information below will give you ideas and guidance to get you started on your fundraising journey.

YOUR STEP BY STEP GUIDE

To help make your fundraising as straight forward as possible, we've put together a step by step guide to help you get started.

1.

Pick an event

With so many different fundraising events out there, it can be tough to decide where to start! We suggest you begin with something you can comfortably and successfully manage which will appeal to your friends, family and colleagues. Check out our fundraising ideas for help with this.

2.

Check legality & suitability

Depending on the type of event, you may need to check with your local authority to ensure it complies with local laws. More details about this can be found in our Fundraising Kit. Once you have confirmed that your activity meets legal requirements, complete and sign the Community Fundraiser Application Form in our Fundraising Kit and return it to us for approval.

3.

Gain authority

When we have reviewed your application and are happy with the details you have provided, we will send you a Letter of Authority. When you have received this letter, you will be able to progress with your fundraising activity.

4.

Promote it!

You can now start letting people know about your event. We recommend that you use our Rise poster templates which can be downloaded here. More information about promoting your event can be found in our Fundraising Kit.

5.

Hold your event

Use the handy check list which you can find in our Fundraising Kit to help you set up and run your event. Don’t forget to get your family and friends involved to help you.

6.

Deposit the funds

Please transfer the funds you raise to Rise within 14 days of completion of your fundraising event. All the information you will need to enable to you to transfer the funds can be found in our Fundraising Kit.

7.

Share your story

Remember to thank everyone who supported your event to make it a success. And don’t forget to share your success with us too. We would love to receive photographs of your event to include in our communications. This is our way of showing our gratitude and appreciation for your efforts.
