Our team runs a number of programs which are for people in the community with mental health concerns. The purpose of these programs is to increase community belonging and socialisation. You do not need to be linked to Rise Mental Health to take part in these activities.

Casual Swimming

Rise Mental Health Services is running a casual swimming group to help people increase physical activity.

Rise will cover entry fees for eligible participants. Sessions are limited to 8 per session.

Day: Tuesdays

Time: 3pm – 4pm

Explore Perth Group

Rise Mental Health Services is running an Explore Perth Group to increase awareness of social opportunities for people in the community.

Activities will include:

  • Discussion room catch ups and morning tea
  • Using library computers & books, resume and career advice
  • Checking out Cat Bus landmarks, Elizabeth Quay, Art Gallery of WA, Kings Park, City Farm, op shopping, free community events and walking tours of Perth. Bring your ideas!
  • Picnics and cheap eats around Perth

Fishing Group

Rise Mental Health Services is running recreational fishing group for beginners throught o experienced fishers.

Rise supplies bait, some fishing rods and tackle.

Day: Thursdays

Time: 9.30am – 11.30am

Casual sports at Brown Park

We hold a fun indoor sports session every Tuesday from 12pm – 1.30pm at Brown Park Recreation Centre.

Brown Park is located on Salisbury Road, Swan View.

The group participates in a variety of non competitive team sports each week, such as Volleyball, Badminton, Soccer, Cricket and Basketball.
