Redgum House gets a garden makeover
The garden of one of our houses has undergone a makeover – which all the residents are enjoying!
Redgum House is located in Morley and is home to several people. House Senior Denise Warner said she was so happy with the results.
We now have paving, new lawn, vegetable patch and rose garden!
This makeover has given our residents a place to enjoy and relax, and also learn new skills like watering the garden and learning to grow vegetables that they can eat.
Denise said there was plans to do even more in the garden including putting in a bird bath and fruit trees.
A big thank you needs to go to Swan Valley Nursery. They kindly donated 40 seedlings for our vegetable patch which included vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.
Denise wins award
For her efforts to lead the makeover, Denise won an award! She won the people with Disability Staff Award for May. She was nominated by her team leader. Naninga Onesmino from a nearby house was also nominated.
