Rise Board Chair cycles for a cause
The Rise Board Chair is getting on his bike and cycling for a good cause!
Alf Lay is taking part in the MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer in October this year.
The event is a two-day, 250km cycling event which raises funds for cancer research.
Board Chair gets cycling
This is the fifth year Alf has taken part in the event, and he said he enjoyed contributing to a good cause.
The money we raise from the MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer goes 100% to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Perth’s world class facility dedicated to fighting cancer.
I am sure there is a cure out there and one day we will find it! Many, many people can hopefully benefit from the funds raised.
Alf said that he loves cycling – and he must to ride 250km in two days!
So far I have raised $26,800 over the past four years, including sponsorships received so far this year.
Your gift of any amount will help support cancer research and take us one step closer to a world free of cancer!
My ride won’t bring loved ones or friends back, but it might stop others from going through the same tragedy.
The ride will be held over the weekend of 13-14 October through the south west.
Alf has set himself a sponsorship target of $3,500. If you would like to donate please click here.
