Everyone at Rise is so proud of Evan Cox who recently won a national Trainee of the Year award.
Trainee of the year
Rise is all about celebrating people and today we celebrate Evan Cox!
At the recent national ACSA awards ceremony Evan was announced as the Trainee of the Year.
Winning an ACSA award is a real mark of excellence in the aged and community services sector. At the awards ceremony CEO of ACSA said of all the winners;
their remarkable stories of care-giving goes ‘above and beyond’ to inspire others
Promising career ahead
By winning the Trainee of the Year award Evan was identified as someone with a promising career ahead of him. And we couldn’t agree more!
Evan started with us in October last year, placed by Health Training Australia
After 25 years of a successful marketing and sales career he wanted to change direction. Evan wanted to work in an environment where he could make connections with people.
Rise is an ideal place for Evan because making connections is something we do every day.
Our CEO Justine Colyer said;
Everyone was delighted to see Evan win the award. It was great to see WA represented at a national level. Evan is well known at Rise as down to earth and humble. He comes with experience from a career outside aged care and enthusiasm for a role in working with people. He brings some much needed diversity into the area of aged care support.
Evan is loving his training with Rise and has a great career goal in mind. When he was nominated for the award Evan said;
I think it would be great if I could eventually become a senior support worker, specialising in male clients
