Justine Colyer

CEO

Justine Colyer has over 25 years’ experience in strategic planning, project and change management, working in Europe and Australia in the private, public and not for profit sectors. Justine is a significant contributor to the WA community sector through her work on peak and industry bodies and pro bono work for a range of other non-profit organisations.  She has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors program and is Telstra Businesswomen’s award winner.

Polly Klante FCA, GAICD, FGIA

Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Polly Klante, CFO, has over 20 years’ experience as a finance professional, having previously worked in the UK, Tokyo and Sydney. Polly has been involved in the financial management of various complex accounting situations and entities and has an interest in technical accounting and developing finance team members. She contributes to other not for profit organisations as a Board director and through mentoring others and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Simon Robbins

Director Corporate Services

Simon joined Rise in 2014 and brings with him 30 years’ experience in both the public and private property sectors in the UK and Australia. While in that sector, he fulfilled several Managerial and Senior Managerial roles implementing strategies that have successfully overseen organisations during periods of rapid change and growth. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineer and a Member of the Royal, Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He enjoys being outdoors during his spare time. 

Shaun Mays - Rise Network Leadership Group

Shaun Mays BA SW (Hons) Grad Dip

Shaun Mays has 20 years’ experience in the Human Services sector and has held senior management positions for the last 12 years at both National and State based organisations. He has extensive experience working across child protection; youth; mental health; drug and alcohol; and health sectors. He is passionate about client centred service delivery and empowering clients to meaningfully take part in service design. He holds a BA (Hons) in Social Work, has been a member of the Australian Association of Social Work since 2002 and is currently completing an MBA.

Fiona Durrant

Director Workforce

Fiona Durrant, Director Workforce, has over 15 years of senior Human Resources experience in the Corporate and Not for Profit sectors including 7 years of international experience. She is a Certified professional member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (CAHRI) and holds an MBA. She sits on various NFP committees and forums.  

Suzanna Robertson

Director of Quality and Customer Experience

Suzanna has worked in the human services sector for 20 years, across employment, mental health, drug and alcohol and youth services in the not for profit and government sectors, at both State and Commonwealth level.  Suzanna is passionate about changing perceptions and eliminating discrimination to ensure that vulnerable and disadvantaged people can be active and connected members of our community.  As a mother of three children, Suzanna is proud to demonstrate the value of flexible working arrangements at Rise in championing women in executive-level positions.  Suzanna holds a BBus (Economics, Management and Accounting) from Monash University and has a keen interest in leadership, organisational culture and positive psychology.  Suzanna has also been appointed to the Community Advisory Council for the Perth North Primary Health Network and is an active member of her local school board.

Jason Burgess 

Director - Disability, Mental Health and Youth Services

Jason has over 15 years’ experience leading Employment and Community sector programs in the United Kingdom and Australia.  Prior to his career in these sectors, he spent 10 years managing accounts departments and retail outlets. Jason’s customer service approach has evolved from his combined experience which he believes is central to his focus of ensuring Rise service delivery is client centred. 

Chris Minchin 

Director – Aged Care


Chris has over 15 years’ experience working in the Health & Acute Care, Aged & Community Care and Education sectors and for the past 6 years holding senior management positions in both Corporate and Not for Profit Organisations.  

He holds a BBus (Communications and Marketing) and has sat on Home Care Advisory Boards and been chair of the CCI’s Transition to Registered Nursing Program. He is passionate about client choice, individualised care and enabling all clients to live their life to the full.
