Rise Annual General Meeting 2015

Rise AGM 2015 (9)

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) Breakfast Celebration was held at Helen’s Place on a Friday, 30 October 2015.

We’ll need a bigger venue next year if attendance at the AGM continues to Rise – it was almost standing room only. While I like to think it was the promise of a compelling speech (!), I suspect it was because people know the AGM team deliver an entertaining event, with great catering, new information and a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues.

Congratulations to all involved – the upbeat, fun breakfast, expertly MCd by Rise newly appointed Deputy Board Chair Alf Lay – part board member/part stand-up comedian – reflects the optimistic and enthusiastic approach all our staff and volunteers show!

Rise’s nomination at the 2015 ACSWA Awards highlighted our collaborative approach to aged care and showcased the Moorditj Mia involvement in the Alzheimer’s Australia WA Sensory Garden.

The night was a glittering success with many aged care providers represented and a great opportunity for staff and board members to mingle with the best of the best of aged care. Congratulates to all the winners and finalists this year.

ICT Plan Completed and Endorsed!

The Project Management Office is proud to announce that the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Plan has now been completed, with the Board approving the ICT Plan late April.

Many thanks to everyone who has been involved in preparing this project .

Work has already commenced on a new project to implement the plan. This project will see Rise going on a very collaborative 3 to 4 year journey as we put in place a well-developed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) system and advanced Information/ Records Management system.

These new systems aim to provide with good access to information needed for their work, including remote access without them having to travel to get to a work computer.

The overall outcome will be replacing current clunky systems and processes with ones that will provide Rise with higher quality information and tighter communication networks that will in turn deliver better and more responsive services to the community and people Rise supports.

If you have any questions or thoughts, please don’t hesitate to contact the Project Management Office at 6274 3700.
