Bake a Cake
Show off your baking skills and tempt your friends and colleagues with mouthwatering cookies and cakes!
Crazy Dress Day
Host a ‘crazy’ clothes or hats day at work and invite your colleagues to make a small donation. They could dress up as their favourite celebrities, animals, in their team colours or favourite era or you could provide the theme in keeping with the time of year (e.g. Halloween, Christmas, Easter).
Enter a fun run and ask your friends to sponsor you. This is a great way to get fit for and raise money!
Give it Up
Get sponsored to give something up! It could be anything from chocolate, to television, coffee, online shopping or
Get people guessing! It can be on anything from the number of lollies in a jar to the weight of a newborn baby. Ask people for a small donation for their guess.
Host a morning tea in your home, workplace or other local venue and sell tea, coffee and cakes. It’s a great way to raise money and make new friends!
Parties, Balls and Special Events
Does your workplace have an annual Christmas party or charity ball? Why not nominate Rise as your preferred not-for-profit organisation at your next gala event?
Run a Raffle
Run a raffle at work and ask local businesses/suppliers to donate prizes such as food hampers, wine or gift cards.
Tip: offer local business recognition at your raffle and ask if you can advertise the raffle in their business windows.
Hold a yummy BBQ at your home, workplace, local hardware store, or in your backyard, schoolyard or local sports field. It’s a delicious way to raise money!
Put your friends’ general knowledge to the test with a fun quiz night. Host it at the office, local hall or pub for the evening and ask local businesses to donate prizes. Got your own fundraising idea?
