Dementia Support

At Rise, we provide active support for those living with dementia and their primary Care Givers.

Our main care activities involve purposed-designed programming at our Social Centres, In Home Support and Respite.

Respite - Care Givers

We understand that caring for a spouse or loved one who is frail aged or challenged with an intellectual disability is a full time role, and as a Care Giver you may need regular breaks to renew your energies.

Respite enables you as the primary Care Giver to take time out from your caring role knowing that the person you care for has the benefit of a short break with understanding, trained staff in a safe environment.

We know that sometimes we all may need a short break to recharge the batteries, rest, relax or be able to attend to the things that life throws our way.  It can be hard to relax fully unless you know the person you care for is in very safe hands while they are away from you. Respite allows you that break,  It can be regular,  on an ‘as you need’ basis, or even for an ‘unplanned’ emergency.
