Getting our messages to the Prime Minister
One of the advantages of the election campaign is that people in the community have access to senior politicians and an opportunity to tell our stories.
On May 1st, The Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, Minister for Ageing, Ken Wyatt, and local MP Steve Irons invited community members to attend a forum on Ageing and Retirement.
We took the opportunity to raise our concerns about the lengthy wait lists for Home Care Packages and asked the Prime Minister to examine funding inequity between NDIS and Aged Care.
Maybe when you're out and about at your local shopping centre and see politicians campaigning, you could take the time to talk about issues that are important to you.
