About the Role

The Support Worker – Domestic Assistant role provides domestic support to older people and people with disability to assist them to remain independent and living in their own home in the community. The role of a Domestic Assistant is to support clients to maintain a safe and clean living environment and work with them using a wellness approach.

Duties can include general cleaning within the home such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning surfaces, light dusting, sweeping etc. Clients may also need support with managing activities of daily living such as changing bed linen or hanging out washing.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who prides themselves on attention to detail and wants to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s also a great way to begin your career in the Aged Care sector!

To be considered for this position, you will have experience providing general cleaning services within a home or community setting. You will be approachable, with a positive outlook and well-developed communication skills. You will be caring and kind and enjoy spending time with older people as well as working with people from all backgrounds and cultures.

You will be the embodiment of our values and a team player, with excellent customer service skills.

You will also demonstrate:

  • The ability to follow routines and procedures
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on your own 
  • The ability to work with people who are aged or with a disability 
  • Basic skills using a smart device 

Appointments to this position will be subject to a current C class drivers licence and a current NDIS Screening check.
